Hello, and thanks for stopping by.
My name is Stan Martin. I am a Stage Hand with over 25 years experience in live performance venues and 7 years Video and Film work, both in studio and on location. I have invited you to this web site in soliciting occasional pick up work in the Saint Louis area.
As primarily a carpenter, electrician, rigger and prop man I read blueprints, floor plans, elevations, light plots, mechanical drawings and am somewhat computer and Web literate. Not particularly special talents perhaps, but useful.
In addition to what's listed on my work history, I have some experience in plastics. Vacuum forming, Plexi construction, foam carving, glass and resin use.
I am familiar with scaffolding, greenbeds, zip/speed rail, towers, trusses and canopies. Also various lifts, platforms, booms, air casters, crab and rail dollies.
Over the years I have built portable stages, turntables and mule winches. Have designed, built and repaired flight/road cases (Anvil/Rhino type, built for Viking). Have designed and built confetti cannons, rain, fog, laser, live flame and assorted pyro effects.
